Aims
According to the IMO, 90% of the world’s trade is carried by ship. Yet, failure to communicate effectively in English at sea can be disruptive to commercial, military and civilian activity. This marine and maritime English course has been specifically designed by linguists and experts in the field to give seafarers and other professionals the language to communicate safely and effectively.
Knowledge into Language
This course allows seafarers and related professionals to draw on their specialist knowledge in order to communicate effectively in authentic, natural English and Seaspeak far beyond STCW95 and IMO standards. Grammar and vocabulary are taught formally and practised through authentic communicative activities and case studies.
